What kind of cakes does Sweet Gardenia offer?
Sweet Gardenia is a boutique confectionery that offers made to order, scratch made modern buttercream designed cakes and other sweets. We are most known for our flavorful cake selection, delicious buttercream, and our signature fresh floral, textural designs. We do not offer fondant decorated cakes or novelty 3D cakes.
I saw that Sweet Gardenia now has a brick & mortar location! What days are you open?
Sweet Gardenia is open for walk ins Fridays 1:00 - 7:00pm and Saturdays 11:30 - 5:30pm or until sold out. Please visit our Instagram for up to date information on the current month’s retail calendar & menu offerings!
Can I order a cake for same day pick up or do you have pre-decorated cakes available?
Sweet Gardenia does not offer same day service for custom orders. However, we have a selection of desserts available for walk ins on Fridays 1:00 - 7:00pm and Saturdays from 11:30 - 5:30pm or until sold out.
Are there any order minimums in place?
Yes. Each item/flavor is made to order and because of this and our efforts to minimize food waste, there are order requirements for all custom cakes and sweets. For more information please visit the “Custom Sweets Menu and Pricing” page.
How soon should I place my order?
We recommend inquiring as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as only a limited number of custom orders can be fulfilled. While we do our best to accommodate orders with shorter notice it is not always possible. During busier seasons, a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks notice is suggested.
Is there a set price list for cakes?
The number of servings, design details, and flavor are all taken into consideration when pricing each cake and as such the cost can vary.
The base price includes the specified cake size, desired cake flavor (speciality flavors at an additional small fee), and standard seasonal flowers or buttercream design. An accurate quote will be provided once we know what your vision is.
There is a specific cake that I love. Can you make the exact same one for my event?
Part of the beauty of a Sweet Gardenia cake or confection is that no two are ever the same. Every cake is hand crafted from scratch specifically for each individual client and can not be duplicated. The organic, artistic nature of our designs are meant to be unique to each event they are created for.
I’d like a replica of a cake I saw on Instagram/Pinterest/Google. Is this possible?
Photos may be submitted for inspiration, but we absolutely will not and can not produce a replica of someone else’s work.
Does Sweet Gardenia make cakes for men or children?
Absolutely! While we are known for our feminine approach to design, we make cakes for every member of the family.
We do not however offer licensed character or novelty cakes but we can make a cake inspired by your choice of character or theme.
Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Currently we are unable to safely accommodate any dietary restrictions as we work from a small space that processes dairy, gluten, and nuts. We hope to have a more inclusive menu in the near future when we are safely able to do so.
I’d like a flavor or treat that isn’t listed on the menu. Can it be made?
You are always welcome to ask for items that are not featured on the menu.We will do our best to accommodate requests!
How do I place my order and reserve my date? What information is needed?
Please include the following in your email/inquiry:
date AND time of event
address if delivery is being requested (subject to availability and is not included in the cost of cake and/or desserts)
serving amount
occasion or event type
estimated budget
style/ design for cake and desserts & any inspiration photos
event details including color palette, theme, stationery etc. (the more details provided, the better! be as detailed as possible)
Once we confirm the details of your order, an invoice will be sent to your email for payment. A 50% non refundable retainer is due upon receipt. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your scheduled event date/pick up.
Any changes must be made prior to the final payment and some changes may result in additional charges.
Cancellations are reviewed upon a case-by -case basis and return of payment is not guaranteed once custom orders are accepted and work has begun (ie supplies specific to the order have been purchased). All payments are non refundable and non transferable.
